BT: Giants/Cowboys a 'referendum' on whether this regime has team heading in right direction

As the Giants prepare for Thursday Night Football against the rival Cowboys, BT says the importance of the game for the current regime cannot be overstated.

“This is the biggest game for Schoen and Daboll,” BT said. “This is a referendum on whether or not the head coach and general manager will be able to get this team moving forward in the right direction, and that they’re the right guys.”

It was a promising win for Big Blue on Sunday, upsetting the Browns on the road, and even though the Cowboys have struggled to start the season, they still represent a team that has haunted New York for years, and BT says it’s time for Daboll and Schoen to show that their team is at least ready to compete against their NFC East foe.

“I’m not saying this is a must win. I’m talking about the bigger picture,” BT said. “Giants are coming off a good game, they’re home, the last time they played them here, it was 40-0...you know what Dallas has done to the Giants for years at this point. Go out there, make it a four-quarter game, and show your fans that you got the right GM and head coach, and you’re moving in the right direction.

“If the Giants play awful tonight...I’ve kind of been in the middle, a little less committed to Schoen and Daboll, but tonight very well might change my opinion and get me further away from that.”
