Are Giants fans already over Saquon Barkley reportedly signing with the Eagles?

Just hours after Barkley reportedly agreed to a three-year deal with the hated division rival, Big Blue responded by inking Devin Singletary to a three-year, $16.5 million deal, bringing in Barkley’s replacement almost immediately.

It was a move that the Evan and Tiki crew seemed to unanimously approve of.

“He’s a good player,” Tiki said. “I really like Devin Singletary. He’s not Saquon, but he’s a really good player.”

Singletary, 26, spent four years in Buffalo, and has familiarity with Brian Daboll’s offense. He made 10 starts last season and appeared in all 17 games, logging a career-high 898 rushing yards, the third straight year he put up at least 800 yards on the ground.

“Saquon Barkley had 70 more yards than Devin Singletary last year,” Morash said. “I’m smiling from ear to ear.”

Evan couldn’t help but smile himself at Giants fans seemingly being over Barkley’s departure less than two hours after news broke that he was signing with the Eagles.

“You end up replacing Saquon with someone who is virtually the same age, who is good - not as good - and you’re gonna pay him a lot less,” Evan said.
