Gio made it clear during Monday's show that he is not a fan of the look or experience at MetLife Stadium, which he compared to Chernobyl given the atmosphere around the facility.
"When can we improve MetLife? Is it too soon to start thinking about that?" Gio said. "Because that place is a hunk of junk, and does not represent what this place should represent when it comes to stadiums."
Gio likened MetLife to a "crappy apartment" that the Jets and Giants share, and in short, he despises how much it takes away from New York football.
"It stinks, and everybody knows it," Gio said. "It doesn't have the charm of the other places that stunk around here. The old Yankee Stadium, the old Giants Stadium, Shea Stadium.
"MetLife has zero charm. It's called the big air conditioner for a reason…it's stuck in the chemical capital of the world."
Gio wants to see big changes, and hates the thought of a hyped Jets season with Aaron Rodgers taking place in that building, especially when considering the stadium is relatively new, but was still built with such little character.
"The opportunity they had, and they came up with that place?" Gio said.
"This is not the way it should be. The stadium sucks."
