Gio spent much of Aaron Rodgers’ career hating the future Hall of Famer, as he had to watch the division rival of his Vikings stick it to Minnesota on a consistent basis for more than a decade.
But heading into this season, Gio was hyped to see Rodgers in New York to hopefully pull the Jets out of years of irrelevance. That has chanced months later, as Gio has already soured on Rodgers again.
“When Aaron Rodgers came here officially…I loved the idea of it, I thought it was gonna be great, I had them making the AFC Championship game,” Gio said. “But as I sit here today, on Nov. 29, 2023, I am now mad at Aaron Rodgers, and currently do not like him anymore.
“It’s not rational. I understand this. But he has screwed this team up worse than I think than anyone could have possibly screwed this team up. I know the Achilles injury is a freaky thing, but all his buddies stink, and he’s making news every week on the Pat McAfee Show. He’s got all these conspiracy theories out there about everything, but if someone brought up a conspiracy theory about him and his Achilles, he tells them to go f--- themselves on the Pat McAfee Show.”
It may not be rational, but it’s real, and Gio is already fed up with the Rodgers/Jets story.
“I’ve had enough of him!” Gio said. “I haven’t even seen him play a full game, and I’ve already had enough of him as a Jet!”
