After a dominating 37-point performance in Tuesday night's win over the Wizards, Julius Randle is now the betting favorite to win the NBA's Most Improved Player award.
Randle had risen to the second likeliest to win the award earlier this month, per FanDuel, but he has now overtaken Detroit's Jerami Grant and is -110 to win the award.
Randle was electric in Tuesday's victory, hitting seven of his 10 3-point attempts and was a +21 on the night. He is now averaging 23.3 points per game this season, up from 19.5 last year. His 3-point percentage is up to a career-high 42.8 percent, and he has been much improved with his ball movement, averaging a career-high 5.9 assists, up from 3.1 last year.
His 10.9 rebounds per game is also a career-high.
Randle earned his first-ever All-Star selection this season, suddenly turning himself into a candidate to be a pillar of the Knicks' rebuild at just 26 years old.
