WATCH: Brandon Nimmo continues stellar play with home run robbery

Mets manager Luis Rojas told reporters before Saturday's game that Brandon Nimmo was playing the best center field of his career, both in the minors and majors.

Nimmo made his skipper look like a prophet once Saturday's game against the Pirates got underway.

With two outs in the top of the first, Marcus Stroman surrendered a deep fly ball to Bryan Reynolds, who appeared to have a home run near the deepest part of Citi Field in right center, but after making his way to the wall, Nimmo perfectly timed his leap, reached over the wall and robbed the All-Star Reynolds of what would have been his 16th homer of the season.

Nimmo has been a huge boost for the Mets since coming off the injured list following a two-month absence, batting .385 with a .929 OPS in seven games since returning. He's also making big plays on defense, none so far that were flashier than his robbery of Reynolds.
