Gio was not happy at all watching Max Scherzer celebrate with the Rangers after sweeping the Rays in the Wild Card Series, and this time, it was C-Mac who didn’t like the sight of Scherzer in goggles and pouring beer on teammates after Texas completed a sweep of the Orioles on Tuesday night.

“Who is in there celebrating more than anyone? This idiot Max Scherzer,” C-Mac said.

“This guy made eight starts for them in the regular season. He hasn’t pitched for them in the postseason…they kicked the tail off of the Rays and absolutely dominated the Orioles without them, and he’s in there throwing beer all over people…I don’t begrudge people for being happy, who am I? God bless him, but he had zero to do with this, and he is being ridiculous. Shaking two beers all over people and going absolutely nuts to get into an ALCS that he had nothing to do with, with a team that he made eight starts with after giving up on the Mets and being terrible for them.”

C-Mac was angry watching Scherzer celebrate, but he couldn’t imagine the level of frustration for Mets fans.

“I hope no Met fan was watching this, as this guy, who was the main culprit why that 101-win team wasn’t able to celebrate last year,” C-Mac said. “Awful in the series against Atlanta to blow the division…awful in the Wild Card Series. He is arguably the main culprit of why last year’s team failed.”
