Joe Benigno filled in for Craig on Friday, and while he is feeling much better about his Mets, he had to get in on the long line of hosts calling for Daniel Vogelbach to be cut.
"Can we get Vogelbach out of here already? He stinks," Joe said. "How is this guy still on the team? you gotta tell me. The guy never hits a home run, he rarely ever gets a big hit…can we DFA this guy and bring up Mauricio please?
"He's terrible! At least you've gotten a couple big hits from [Mark] Canha…[Tommy] Pham had that one big game with four RBI, but I just can't take Vogelbach anymore."
Evan wouldn't go as far as to say Vogelbach should be cut, noting that he could have some value off the bench, but Joe doesn't see it.
"Tell me what that [value] is, because I'm missing it," Joe said. "[Mark Vientos] should be the DH all the time."
