The Mets could be undergoing many changes this winter, with a lot of their core from 2022 hitting free agency, so while the team may look different on the field, things will also look a bit different in terms of the field itself.
According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, the right field fence at Citi Field is expected to be moved in “slightly” next season, the result of the venue adding a “fan experience attraction” beyond the right-center field wall.
This will be the third time that Citi Field’s dimensions have changed since the park opened in 2009. All three times, the fences have been moved in.
They were last changed prior to the 2015 season.
