Daniel Vogelbach holds a lowly .523 OPS in 34 spring training at-bats, with Opening Day just a week away.

Typically, big-league veterans don’t put too much stock in their spring stats, but Vogelbach’s slump was clearly getting to him on Wednesday afternoon against the Astros.

After a hard grounder was snared on the backhand and turned into a 4-3 putout, Vogelbach was caught on a hot mic venting his frustration as he made his way back to the dugout.

“I can't buy a f---g hit,” Vogelbach said.

Vogelbach, who hit 18 home runs with a respectable .793 OPS last season, hopes he is getting all of his bad luck out of the way before the games start to count on Thursday.
