With the Super Bowl only days away, Miller Lite is looking to steal some attention away from their competition. The beer company announced a new contest this week that will give customers the chance to win free beer when a Michelob Ultra commercial appears during the big game. The contest is asking fans to enter in a “ridiculously long calorie-burning URL” to have a chance at the free beer.

Miller Lite’s new contest is in response to Michelob Ultra’s promotion that their 95 calorie beer is a healthy alternative to Miller Lite’s 96 calorie beer. This is why fans will be asked to enter an 836 character URL during the game to have a chance at winning the free beer. According to Miller lite, “burning one calorie is as simple as typing in a ridiculously long URL."

The contest will take place on Sunday during the Super Bowl, as the first 5,000 to enter the URL will win the free beer. “While yes, some others may have one less calorie, we know that everyone finds joy in something that tastes great,” said Sofia Colucci, Vice President of Marketing, Miller Family of Brands. Hopefully the contest doesn’t prevent anyone from missing the next commercial.
