Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie left Sunday night’s game in Charlotte early in the third quarter with a right knee strain, and he will not return.
With less than two minutes gone in the second half and Brooklyn down two, Dinwiddie planted his right leg awkwardly on a drive and went down, clutching his knee. He was replaced by Caris LeVert, and after a quick consultation on the bench, was helped to the locker room for further evaluation.
Later in the third quarter, the team gave the official diagnosis of a right knee strain, and ruled Dinwiddie out for the remainder of the game.
