Tiki goes off on 'absolute nonsense' of NFL's new playoff overtime rules

Evan and Tiki opened Monday's show debating whether or not Kyle Shanahan's decision to receive the ball in the first-ever Super Bowl overtime with the new rules, but Tiki was more concerned with the rules themselves.

Simply put, Tiki is not a fan of the new overtime format, which he says takes the clock out of the equation and, in turn, saps the game of excitement.

"The new NFL overtime rule in the playoffs is nonsense. It's absolute nonsense," Tiki said. "To make the clock mean nothing is nonsense. The clock has to end the game. I understand why you do it this way, because you want it to be fair, but it takes all urgency out of football. Some of the greatest moments in football are end-of-half Hail Marys or end-of-half urgency to get into field goal position…because there's a clock ticking down.

"You get into overtime in the playoffs, and you take all of that and just throw it away…the clock has no purpose. I hate that."
