For the first time since 1994, all five winter sports teams in New York are in the playoffs.
With that brings tough decisions, especially now that game one of the Devils and Rangers series opener has been scheduled for the same night that the Knicks will play their game two against the Cavaliers.
With all of the different series going on, Jerry and Gio played a game of hypotheticals during Friday's show, pondering what game of what series would be the best one to be at, and they settled on the ice.
"I think the best atmosphere you could have…I don't want to take anything away from the Knicks at The Garden, but I think the best atmosphere you could have is Rangers and Devils, game six, coming home to The Garden to clinch, more than any other series," Gio said. "Even more than the Knicks coming back 3-2 with a chance to clinch at The Garden, just because Rangers/Devils is a bigger rivalry than Knicks/Cavaliers.
"If you're asking me any one game to get the best atmosphere, it would be Rangers/Devils at The Garden, game six, with the Rangers up 3-2."
Gio and Jerry both raved about the atmosphere of playoff hockey, and with two local rivals going at it, nothing would beat being inside The World's Most Famous Arena with a chance to see the Blueshirts finish off their rivals and advance to the next round.
"Rangers and Devils, the two seasons they had, The Garden," Jerry said. "That place would be able to pop."
