Harrison Bader's home run hot streak continued into the ALCS, as his first at-bat of the series resulted in a no-doubt, 411-foot moonshot off Justin Verlander in the top of the second inning to put the Yankees on top in game one.
It was Bader's fourth home run of the postseason after hitting none in the regular season as a Yankee, and his four homers are the most by any Yankee through his first six playoff games in pinstripes.
The trade that sent Jordan Montgomery to St. Louis is looking better by the day, as the Yanks shored up their center field defense, and are getting way more offensive juice at the position than many initially expected, considering Bader was mainly a league-average hitter during the regular season.
