The Yankees and Red Sox were rained out on Sept. 11, and will play a pair on Sept. 12.

Rain forced postponement of Monday night’s scheduled game at Fenway Park about an hour and a half after scheduled first pitch, and the game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader Tuesday; Game 1, the postponed game, will begin at 1:35 p.m., while Game 2 will start at the previously scheduled 7:10 game time.

WFAN will have coverage of Game 1 beginning at 12:55 p.m.
and Game 2 at 6:30 p.m., with an abbreviated Evan & Tiki in between.

Per Yankees manager Aaron Boone, Randy Vasquez will start Game 1 and Carlos Rodon will go in Game 2, with Clarke Schmidt moved to Wednesday. Schmidt was scheduled to pitch Monday’s game, but will instead be pushed back to keep Rodon on normal rest and have Vazquez, who threw 2 1/3 innings on Thursday against Detroit behind Rodon, slot in as the spot starter.

They could enter that game mathematically eliminated from AL East contention, as a Baltimore win over St. Louis Monday night would give the Orioles 91 wins, a total the currently 70-72 Yankees cannot best.

Nick Pivetta will start Game 1 and Kutter Crawford Game 2 for Boston.
