The play-by-play voice for the Atlanta Braves on Fox Sports South joined Kyle Bailey on the Clubhouse this afternoon as he first reacted to the outbreak of COVID cases on the Miami Marlins roster as Chip called it "disappointing."
Chip also stated the league and players "Had to know that situations like this would occur over the course of the season, and that's why every team has taxi squads for situations like this."
When it comes to how Chip's job as a broadcaster has changed while the Braves are playing on the road Chip responded by saying "We're watching the game with different monitors, which is very different."
Chip also pointed out how very little nuances like seeing pitchers working in the bullpen during games, but Chip says he is still having a fun time calling games during this awkward time.
Kyle brought up the cold start that Ronald Acuna had in the opening series with the Braves and asked Chip if he is concerned with Ronald's slow start to the year and Chip brushed the concern off by saying "I'm not concerned about Ronald as all it will take for him is to square up with one pitch and get that happy feeling in his feet and hands."
