The legendary Panthers WR turned NFL Network Analyst joined Kyle Bailey for his weekly chat on the Clubhouse as the first topic covered was the news of over 10 players opting out of the NFL season due to COVID concerns.

Steve responded by saying "We're headed into unprecedented times with everyone being effected, including in sports."

Steve also told Kyle that "It depends on a player's bank account too if they will opt-out of the season this year."

Steve notes there are some players working paycheck to paycheck and some people will opt-out based on their current financial situation.

Steve wanted to put his two cents on now Seahawks safety Jamal Adams being traded away from the Jets and said that he wants to see how Adams makes the transition away from being a box safety with the Jets to playing out-wide and in more coverage situations going against tight ends like 49ers star George Kittle.

Kyle asked Steve before the end of the chat if he agrees with Sal Pal's take on the Mac Attack that the Panthers will start 4-1 and Steve disagreed stating "The Panthers are going to struggle because they are in the middle of a transition."

Smith also said that Matt Rhule is doing things in the Panthers organization that is positive, but the results will take time especially in the middle of a pandemic.
