The Assistant Director of Panthers Digital and Broadcasting joined Kyle Bailey today on the Clubhouse to discuss how different training camp is this year than it has been in the past.
The conversation started with Matt Rhule carries a practice differently compared to Ron (Rivera) and Bill told Kyle:
"The one thing about these Rhule practices is that you don't know what you're going to get, and I think that's by design because I think he doesn't want his players to get complacent after a couple of days."
Kyle asked Bill after that about the criticism about Matt Rhule and people not trusting him as Bill said it came down to the Cam Newton comment at the combine as Bill believes Matt was telling the truth at that time and I don't think some things will get over that. Bill also thinks the negative reception comes from people being used to the honesty that Ron Rivera showed in his press conferences over the better part of the decade.
Bill also said he doesn't have a standout for camp right now as there have 2 padded practices so far and each team has so many standouts that don't pan out in the end.
