The Carolina Panthers beat reporter covering the team for The Athletic joined Kyle Bailey on the Clubhouse today to discuss the latest on the Panthers COVID-19 situation, and how things stack up for the Panthers heading into their matchup in New Orleans.

The first thing that Kyle asked Joe was if he thinks the Panthers could be in play to make a trade before the trade deadline in a couple of weeks as he thinks they could possibly try to seek a trade or at the very least bring more guys off the street in with the amount of injuries that are starting to pile up in some areas.

Kyle then asked Joe what the latest on the Panthers closing the building and how this might impact the chances of the Panthers playing the Saints as Joe told Kyle:

"This team has done a good job at being proactive and taking steps with COVID, but the fact that the reported COVID cases are coming from the same position room does give you pause and makes you nervous if you are an offensive lineman."

Kyle also wanted Joe to weigh in on the struggles that D.J. has had throughout the season as Joe said the expectation for him heading into this year was for him to take a step to become a guy who can get 50/50 balls in key situations as he struggled with that on Sunday against the Bears as Joe thinks there should be a fair share of criticism after the praise he got last year.
