The voice of the Carolina Panthers joined Kyle Bailey today on the Clubhouse to discuss his latest observations from Panthers Training Camp, and his expectations for the team in black and blue in a year unlike any other.
The firs thing that Kyle asked Mick was how he was going to prepare for the first game now that he knows that no fans will be in attendance and Mick told him that people have enough of what people did during the pandemic, and he wants to make the broadcast as much like a normal season opener as possible.
Mick also told Kyle that from what he has seen and heard that Matt Rhule has the magic touch with players all across the board including the coaching staff and David Tepper.
Before the end of the chat, Kyle wanted Mick to weigh in on the Panthers young secondary and if anyone has stood out and Mick replied:
"Ever since I've worked here in the spring of 2005 the safety position has been a revolving door. Everyone from Charles Godfrey, Nate Salley, Marlon McCree, Mike Mitchell, and it's just been a long time since we've had a couple of skull crushers back there that other teams had to worry about. So Jeremy Chinn made a play the other day in practice and I thought it looked just like a Sean Taylor or Steve Atwater play. I'm not saying he's going to be a hall of famer or anything like that, but this kid is packing, and he's not the only one in the back end of the defense."
