The Hornets Beat Reporter covering the team for the Charlotte Observer joined Kyle Bailey today on the Clubhouse to discuss Michael Jordan becoming an owner in NASCAR, and the Hornets starting the 2nd bubble.

The conversation started out with Rick explaining why Michael Jordan is teaming up with Denny Hamlin to start a race team for Bubba Wallace as Rick told Kyle that both MJ and Denny feel like that Bubba can be a better driver with better equipment. Rick also pointed out that MJ is a die-hard racing fan and he views this as an opportunity for this sport to improve the diversity in the sport with a majority black owner teaming up with the only black driver in NASCAR.

Kyle then asked Rick about LeBron's statement about the voting process as Rick said he doesn't understand why he is focusing on it right now, but he agrees that it has it's fair share of problems , but Rick doesn't think there is a real solution to the problem.

Before the end of the chat Kyle wanted to know his thoughts on the Hornets entering the 2nd bubble and what can possibly get done in a short 2 week span as Rick said:

"They are not going to do a lot of X's and O's type of stuff. What JB (James Borrego) told me is

that this is going to be an atmosphere of bonding for the team that hasn't been together for 6 months, and this is going to be their only chance between now and training camp to evaluate where the players are at."
