The Charlotte Hornets Beat Writer covering the team for the Charlotte Observer joined Kyle Bailey today on the Clubhouse to discuss what happens now for the NBA after the 2020 season has come to an end and how it will pertain to the Hornets.

Kyle first asked Rick what he thinks the start of the 2021 season will look like for the NBA and if it will be played in bubble as Rick told Kyle:

"The bubble is a temporary fix. It was a way to keep the national TV revenue from going away. If the NBA returns to a bubble environment in 2021 it's because it's a last resort for the league because the owners don't want to go to the bubble from a revenue standpoint, and the players don't want to resubmit back into that environment."

Kyle also discussed the NBA Draft for the Hornets as Rick discussed despite the hype for the 3rd pick the 32nd pick is really intriguing for the Hornets with Mitch's past history of drafting in the 2nd round for the Hornets especially in a draft like this.

Kyle then wanted Rick to tell him the cap situation for the Hornets entering the offseason as Rick said it should be around as much as $19 million in cap space and they might not necessarily going to use it or need it as the Hornets are one of the few teams that don't have to worry about the luxury tax in the league.
