Chase Elliott previews this weekend's race at Talladega & reacts to NASCAR's 2021 schedule

The driver of the #9 Napa Auto Parts Chevy Camaro for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series joined Kyle Bailey today on the Clubhouse to discuss the upcoming races in the Round of 12 in the Playoffs, and his thoughts on the 2021 schedule.

The conversation with Chase started off with him discussing the Braves as he is a big fan of the team and he was impressed with the Braves win in game 1 of the Wild Card Round of the Playoffs as he thinks they are playing their best ball at the right time.

Kyle then wanted to ask Chase what it's been like to race at empty racetracks throughout most of the year as Chase told Kyle it's a unique situation in NASCAR because the competitors during a race, but all of the events leading up to the race have been affected the most and they don't feel like events.

Chase then previewed this weekend's race at Talladega as he told Kyle that he isn't in the best points position heading into this weekend as he looks to go after stage points this weekend and push for the win while avoiding the big ones.

Kyle then asked Chase about the release of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series schedule which includes a record 6 road course races, and a return to dirt for the first time since 1970 and Chase responded to Kyle saying:

"I think from a schedule standpoint I'm just happy to see that the NASCAR leadership group that they have right now which is much different than they had in year's past is making changes and doing things differently by not doing the norm. Frankly, that is something that NASCAR has needed in a lot of areas and the schedule was one of them."
