The former Clemson offensive lineman turned ACC Network Analyst joined Kyle Bailey today on the Clubhouse to recap a weekend in ACC play that saw a big upset, and a major injury as well.
Kyle started the conversation by asking Eric about the Tar Heels disappointing loss to Florida State as Eric told Kyle that the problem early was the Heels were trying to run the ball no matter what as Florida State stood tall, and Carolina just started to get going when it was too late.
Kyle then asked if this Saturday's game for Carolina against rival NC State without QB Devin Leary could be a get-right game for the Heels as Eric said:
"It's going to be an interesting game, because one thing you can definitely say about NC State is they have found a way to win in every game in a different. Of course UNC is going to be motivated to come out firing, but those emotions can get to you and it can lead one loss getting you twice and the Heels can't let last week define them."
Eric also came away from last weekend very impressed from Hendon Hooker and the Hokies as wonders why Justin Fuente didn't play Hooker from the start against the Tar Heels, but also points out that the Hokies are playing a team this weekend in Wake Forest who are coming off of a big win against Virginia.
Before Eric left, Kyle had to ask him about his Alma Mater in Clemson beating Georgia Tech 73-7 and if that showed how far GT still has to go and Eric said it had more to do with how deep Clemson has become over the past few years as the Tigers had their punter in at QB.
