Former Clemson OL turned ACC Network Analyst Eric Mac Lain joined Kyle Bailey today on the Clubhouse to discuss the close call for Clemson, and the disappointing loss for North Carolina in Charlottesville.

The conversation with Eric started with Clemson's comeback win over Boston College as Eric said this was a test for the recruiting that Clemson has done recently with so many young guys playing including QB DJ Uiagalelei who stepped in for Trevor Lawrence who caught COVID-19 as Eric thought he did a phenomanel job.

Kyle also wondered if Clemson is concerned that they may struggled if the Notre Dame game could with a loss without Trevor Lawrence as Eric said that both teams control their own destiny, and that DJ was the question in that scenario, but he answered that question quickly on Saturday.

Eric then weighed in on the Tar Heels loss to Virginia as Eric has concerns for the defense, but he told Kyle that he sees flashes of brilliance from Jay Bateman's defense. Where Eric is concerned for the Heels is at special teams as he thinks they look lost across the board and doesn't know if the issues can be corrected this season.

On a brighter note, Eric had a lot of great things to say about Wake Forest as they have won 4 straight games now as Eric says the Wake Forest offense is playing out of their minds including Kenneth Walker III who has blossomed into one of the best RB's in the country.
