College Football Writer Chip Patterson who covers the sport for CBS Sports joined the Clubhouse to discuss the Tar Heels struggles against the Hoos, and Chip previews the big matchup in South Bend between Clemson and Notre Dame.
Chip started the conversation by weighing in on the controversial finish between ECU and Tulsa which saw the Pirates get the short end of the stick on some crucial calls down the stretch as Chip told Kyle that official are going to make mistakes, but when so much money rides on the line with contract bonuses and bowl games there is real fallout to certain mistakes.
Chip also weighed in on North Carolina falling yet again to the Virginia Cavaliers as Chip said that a team can get to a certain point pretty quickly, but the small nuances in the game can make the difference between 6 to 7 wins and 10 wins which is where Chip thinks the Heels are at now as they are just a few mistakes away from being 6-0.
The final thing that Chip discussed was what's really at stake between Clemson and Notre Dame as Chip explained:
"I do think these 2 teams will meet again for the ACC Championship, so a lot of the real big stakes for me will be for the big picture because if Clemson wins this Saturday the Tigers will tie Bobby Bowden's streak at Florida State of most consecutive wins in the ACC."
