Cowboys legend Michael Irvin joined Nick and Stan Friday afternoon on Sports Radio FNZ.

Nick asked about Jerry Jones’ comments regarding taking a quarterback in the upcoming draft.

Irvin confidently backed up Jones’ sentiments regarding Dak Prescott saying that picking great quarterbacks is not like picking apples off trees.

Asked about Teddy Bridgewater replacing Cam Newton, Irvin pointed back to Newton’s injury struggles as his first indication that he likely wouldn’t return to MVP form.

Irvin went on to praise both Matt Rhule and Teddy Bridgewater under the new Panthers regime, and mentioned his discussion with Robby Anderson where the wide receiver expressed excitement for his new team and new quarterback.

Stan brought up this weekend’s Panthers Buccaneers match-up, and Irvin said that the win is imperative for Tampa Bay’s playoff hopes.

Irvin closed the interview reiterating his thoughts on franchise quarterbacks.
