Larry McReynolds Discusses the Magnitude of Michael Jordan Joining NASCAR as an Owner

The longtime NASCAR Crew Chief turned Analyst for Fox and Sirius XM joined Kyle Bailey today on the Clubhouse as he discussed Michael Jordan joining forces with Denny Hamlin to have a race team with Bubba Wallace at the helm, and the historic run that Kevin Harvick is on.

Larry first discussed the news of the day in NASCAR of Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin creating a team for Bubba Wallace as Larry said that it's a big deal whenever any new owner joins the sport, but when it's someone like Michael Jordan and he's aligning himself with Denny Hamlin and Bubba Wallace it makes it a big deal for the sport of NASCAR as a whole.

When asked about the challenges a new team could face in 2021 Larry told Kyle:

"Regardless of how much money and resources you have, it's all about the people you have in the shop. Throughout the next few weeks and months is wrapping wrapping Bubba Wallace around with the right. I know the expectations will be around from day 1 and they have a long road ahead of them, but they have the right people involved to have success."

Larry then discussed and put into perspective the historic pace that Kevin Harvick is on 2020 and Larry told Kyle this season is getting pretty close to the top, and is the best stretch from a driver since Jimmie Johnson during his 5 straight championships.

When it comes to the racing this weekend at Vegas Larry expressed how important this race is for the playoff drivers as the 2 races after this in the round of 12 are wild cards in Talladega and the Charlotte Roval.
