The voice of the Braves for Fox Sports South joined Kyle Bailey today on the Clubhouse to discuss the Braves clinching another NL East Title, and what challenges could lie ahead for the Braves once the postseason rolls around.
The first thing Kyle asked Chip was what was the key ingredient to overcome the adversity the Braves faced as Chip told Kyle:
"It's Depth. When a team has a guy go down its always the next man up and this ball club has been able to do that, for the most part, all year long. I don't think anyone thought all of the starters minus Max Fried would go down with injuries, but when Alex Anthopoulos bolstered the bullpen and brought in a more AL centric lineup it turned out to be a stroke of genius for this team."
Chip Caray also spoke highly of Braves skipper Brian Snitker for his ability to navigate the season with the injuries his team faced, to keeping the pitchers fresh, and being a calming voice during this tough time period has been absolutely remarkable to Chip.
When it came to the postseason for the Braves in the coming day's Chip told Kyle how the Reds who as of now are scheduled to face the Braves could be a tough challenge because of their stout pitching challenge, but Chip also noted that the Braves strength has been their hot bats down the stretch.
