The Baseball columnist for Rotowire and podcaster at Fangraphs joined Kyle Bailey today on the Clubhouse to give his thoughts on the ongoing ALCS and NLCS.
The first topic that Jason discussed with Kyle was the comments made by Astros Pitcher Zack Grenkie about liking not having fans in ballparks as Jason said that it comes down to his anxiety issues that go back to his days in High School as people need to put those comments into perspective.
Jason then was asked about the ongoing ALCS as the Rays are leading 3-0 over the Astros as Jason points out that the pitching and defense has carried the Rays which is their bread and butter as the bats for the Astros can convert on their chances.
Kyle then moved the conversation onto the NLCS as the Braves lead 2-0 as Jason told Kyle that the pitching for the Braves have been on another level throughout the postseason and he says that is what's neutralizing the Dodgers offense.
Kyle also wanted to know Jason's opinion on Freddie Freeman and where he ranks among the top 10 Braves after the season he has had and Jason said:
"Freddie should be in the top 10, and when you look at him at the start of the season after he recovered from COVID he looked terrible and now he should be the NL MVP this year. The fact that we are talking about him being a top 10 player for an organization like the Braves is a testament to how Freddie plays the game."
