The former Charlotte 49ers and Boston Celtics legend turned Radio Color analyst for the Boston Celtics Radio Network joined Kyle Bailey today on the Clubhouse to preview Game 7 between the Raptors and Celtics, and some of the other playoff series taking place inside the bubble.
Cornbread was first asked how good this series has been as Cornbread said it's been a good series and when the Celtics play their brand of basketball they have a huge advantage, but the Raptors have muddied the waters over the past few games. Cornbread also spoke highly of the play of Kyle Lowry as he outplayed Kemba Walker in Game 6, and Cornbread said Kemba needs to at least make the production between him and Kyle Lowry even in game 7 tonight.
When it came to game 7 tonight Cornbread told Kyle he wants to see a big game from former Duke standout Jayson Tatum tonight as Cedric said:
"If you look at him in this series, he's kind of been ordinary. This is his time when the bell goes off and the big boys come out and everybody's watching is when you get your chance to shine. Jayson Tatum needs to have one of those superstar games that people will be talking about for years to come."
Kyle then shifted the focus to the other playoff series going on inside the bubble as he asked Cornbread if the Rockets and James Harden are just going to be one of those teams that can't perform in the playoffs and the 1981 NBA Finals MVP told Kyle that people are right to point out Harden and the Rockets underwhelming postseason performances because it's a cold hard fact, and when the big moments come they shrink.
