The Beat Reporter for the Hornets covering the team for the Charlotte Observer Rick Bonnell joined the Clubhouse to discuss any last-minute rumors surrounding the Hornets before tomorrow's draft.
Rick started the interview by discussing the rumors that have been swirling around linking the Hornets up with Russell Westbrook in some form of trade as he said it would not be logical for what the organization is trying to do right now.
Then Rick turned his attention to the draft as he told Kyle that both the Timberwolves and Warriors have been wanting to trade out of the first two picks since the lottery as he heard that he has heard some divide in the Warriors front office between LaMelo Ball and James Wiseman which could lead to the Hornets getting Wiseman without even trading up.
Kyle also asked for Rick to rank for him the most likely scenarios for the Hornets at pick #3 tomorrow as Rick responded to Kyle:
"Most likely scenario is they stay at 3, next most likely is they trade up, the 3rd most likely scenario is that they trade down, and the least likely scenario is they take someone other than Ball, Wiseman, or Edwards with the 3rd pick."
Rick then told Kyle that it was obvious that James Wiseman would be the best case scenario for the Hornets with pick #3.
