NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, who covers the league for CBS Sports and Radio.com joined Kyle Bailey on The Clubhouse to discuss the idea of more teams entering the playoffs, and the lack of movement in this week's trade deadline.
Jason was first asked by Kyle about the rumors of the NFL Playoffs expanding towards 16 teams for this year only and Jason broke it down stating:
"It's very preliminary as it's more of a concept right now as this is obviously are in uncharted territory. The NFL is trying everything it can do to avoid playing a Week 18 schedule which is something they are trying to avoid and if they don't play a week 18 schedule none of this matters."
Kyle then asked Jason what was the reason for the lack of moves at the NFL Trade Deadline as part of it had to do with the unknown of what the Salary Cap will be for the 2021 offseason and the unknown of how the draft season all factored in to why the trades at the trade deadline were so sparse.
Jason also weighed in on the Panthers upcoming game for the Chiefs as Jason said the only way the Panthers will have a good shot to win is if Christian McCaffrey can return with a big game in Arrowhead.
