News & Observer Sports Columnist Luke DeCock stopped by and discussed the South Carolina coaching job and also gave his thoughts on Mack Brown and UNC.
He was asked what kind of couch South Carolina will be looking for.
“I think it is more likely they go with a more established head coach who knows how to win especially being in the SEC…”
He also discussed how good the job is in the SEC
“I think it is a tough job in the SEC and also having to deal with UNC in recruiting... you also have a rabid fan base…”
He also discussed how well he thinks UNC has been this season
“They didn’t deliver this season as they were expected… It hasn’t been the best but they have achieved a lot in year 2 under Mack Brown…”
He also previewed the upcoming match-up between Notre Dame and UNC
“It will be tough for UNC’s defense…I think if they bet Notre Dame it is a step in the right direction…”
