Allen was placed in the concussion protocol after a hit to the head in the fourth quarter of last week's game against the New England Patriots. Allen went to run for a first down when he was hit with a helmet-to-helmet collision from Patriots defensive back Jonathan Jones. Allen went to the locker room and did not return.

Allen practiced throughout the week on a limited basis, leading to his clearance of the protocol on Saturday.

DiMarco and Marlowe also were placed in concussion protocol after the Patriots game.

Players have to pass through five phases of the NFL's concussion protocol, wtih Stage 4 being non-contact football related drills, with Stage 5 being medical clearance from an independent neurological consultant and team doctors.
