Monday will be a continuation of the 1999 Eastern Conference Final with Game 4 of the series against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Marine Midland Arena. After jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the first period, the Sabres stormed out of the gate in the second period with four more goals to take a 5-0 lead. Geoff Sanderson scored a pair of goals in the period, while Rob Ray was officially credited with the game-winning goal in the 5-2 win to put the Sabres up 3-1 in the series.
Buffalo was able to close out the series in Game 5 back in Toronto with a 4-2 win to punch its ticket to the franchise's second-ever Stanley Cup Final appearance. It was a back-and-forth second period with both teams exchanging a pair of goals through 40 minutes of play. Then in the third period, it was Erik Rasmussen who netted the go-ahead goal at the 11:35 mark, and forward Dixon Ward officially put the game on ice with an empty-net goal with 1:02 remaining in regulation. That game can be seen on Tuesday night.
Then on Wednesday, it will be Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Dallas Stars at the Reunion Arena in Dallas. This game is famously known for Jason Woolley's overtime goal at the 15:30 mark of the first overtime to give the Sabres the early 1-0 series lead. Despite giving up the game-tying goal with 49 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime, Dominik Hasek was still great in net for the Sabres, making 35 saves on 37 shots faced.
After losses in Games 2 and 3 to face a 2-1 series deficit, the Sabres rebounded to tie the series in Game 4 with a 2-1 win on home ice. With the game tied at 1-1 in the third period, it was Ward who put Buffalo ahead for good with 7:37 gone in the final frame. You can watch this game on Thursday night.
However, that would be the last game of the series that Buffalo would win as Game 5 saw Ed Belfour shut out the Sabres, 2-0 with a 23-save performance.
Finally in Game 6, it was the infamous "No Goal" game as Brett Hull scored the series-clinching goal in triple-overtime to give the Stars its first and only Stanley Cup championship in franchise history. This game will be broadcast on Friday night.
All five of these games are set to take place at 8 p.m. on MSG.
