Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen did not participate in Wednesday's practice just outside the ADPRO Sports Training Center, as he continues to deal with a right shoulder injury.
Allen did speak to reporters after practice and said he and trainers want to make sure they "stay ahead" of the injury so it doesn't impact him long-term.
"Every day it gets so much better," Allen said. "If I had to practice today, absolutely would have. If the game was today, I'm playing in the game."
Meanwhile, the two newest members of the Bills were on the practice field with their teammates for the first time on Wednesday.
Rasul Douglas, acquired from the Green Bay Packers just before Tuesday's NFL Trade Deadline, didn't participate in practice because he "just got here," according to the team's official injury report. However, the veteran cornerback did watch and talked to his new coaches and teammates.
As for running back Leonard Fournette, he took part in drills after officially signing to the team's practice squad on Tuesday.
The Bills are gearing up to play the Bengals this Sunday night at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati.
