Detroit, Mich. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills earned their second win in-a-row on Thanksgiving Day with their 28-25 victory over the Detroit Lions on Thursday. With the win, the Bills improved to 8-3 on the season.
This was the second game in five days for the Bills at Ford Field after having played on Sunday afternoon against the Cleveland Browns. That game was moved to Detroit after a lake effect snowstorm dumped over six feet of snow on Orchard Park.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen made some major improvements in his last game after having a rough few weeks. He kept that good form for most of Thursday's game, completing 24-of-42 passing attempts for 253 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Allen also rushed for 78 yards and one touchdown.
Throughout the game, the Bills offense had it's ups-and-downs, but Allen spoke highly of how his team didn't let that bother them en route to victory.
"Second half, didn't play great football, but we found a way," Allen said following Thursday's victory. "Guys [are] continuing to grind, guys going down, stepping up. Just finding a way."
The fourth quarter of the game became very close, and the Bills needed their big players to come up at big times. It was the clutch play of Allen that helped Buffalo come away with its eighth win of the season, including a couple of key throws to No. 1 wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
"Just trusting what we're seeing. 'Dorse' [Ken Dorsey] was trusting our guys, lotta 'Stef' [Diggs], and we're just gonna keep feeding him there, guys were blocking well," Allen said. "Again, just found a way to drive down the field and end in the end zone. Sometimes those games happen, it's tough to win in this league. I'm just proud of our guys for battling through it."
