Lake Forest, Ill. (670 The Score/WGR 550) - Bears quarterback Justin Fields and the team's starters will play Saturday in their preseason finale against the Bills in Chicago, head coach Matt Eberflus said.

Eberflus adds roles and playing time for the starters will be determined by the team in a meeting later Thursday afternoon.

LISTEN LIVE TO WGR:

Fields and most starters sat out of Chicago's exhibition loss to Indianapolis last Saturday after the Bears conducted a pair of joint practices with the Colts earlier in the week in Westfield, Indiana.

Fields led two series and took seven snaps in the Bears' preseason opener on Aug. 12, going 3-of-3 for 129 yards with two touchdown passes against the Tennessee Titans.

Fields played 30 snaps in the Bears' preseason finale in 2022.

Eberflus declined to reveal who would be the Bears' second quarterback to play after Fields, and the starters complete their work Saturday. Veteran P.J. Walker and rookie Tyson Bagent are in an open competition for the backup quarterback role, Eberflus confirmed Thursday.

The Bears and the Bills will kick off at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday from Soldier Field.
