Irvine, California (WGR) - Just one week after being named AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September, Buffalo Bills edge rusher Greg Rousseau has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 5.
Rousseau blocked Los Angeles Rams kicker Harrison Mevis' game-winning 48-yard field goal attempt in overtime, which gave the ball back to the Bills who eventually went down the field and won the game, 37-34, on a Tyler Bass 45-yard field goal.
Rousseau also blocked a field goal attempt almost one year ago to the day, on Monday Night Football in Atlanta against the Falcons, on October 13, 2025.
It's the first Special Teams Player of the Week honor for Rousseau, who becomes the first Buffalo Bills player to win the award since Tyler Bass did it in Week 9 of 2024.
