Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - As we get closer to the 2022 home opener for the Buffalo Bills on Monday night against the Tennessee Titans, more-and-more people continue to rave about the team's 31-10 win last Thursday night against the Los Angeles Rams.
This time, former Bills offensive linemen John Fina joined the "Extra Point Show" to share his thoughts on what he has seen from the Bills.
Fina spent 10 of his 11 years in the National Football League with the Bills, starting during the franchise's Super Bowl years as a rookie in 1992. He played as part of the two Bills teams that lost in Super Bowl XVII and XVIII to the Dallas Cowboys, and knows what it means to play with high expectations over the course of a season.
With Buffalo being the Super Bowl favorites this season, he also knows the expectations also come with additional pressure.
"When I was there, it was a real business sort of focus," said Fina with Sal Capaccio and Joe DiBiase on Thursday. "We are the target, we are everyone's Super Bowl week-in and week-out. And we have to apply ourselves and practice with a business like attitude."
During his days in the NFL, Fina lined up against some of the best pass rushers and defensive linemen the game has ever seen. One player that has stood out to him on the Bills' roster is newcomer Von Miller, who Fina feels will be wearing the gold jacket one day in Canton, Ohio at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
"I love his ability to slow play and accelerate, and he has the perfect mix like Charles Haley of quickness and strength," Fina said.
Meanwhile, Fina got the chance during his career in Buffalo to protect Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly. He knows that Buffalo has another great quarterback under center in Josh Allen, who he believes is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
