Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills completed Phase 1 of their four-phased process towards winning Super Bowl LVIII with a 31-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday in the AFC Wild Card Round at Highmark Stadium.

The Bills were firing on all cylinders in front of an energetic crowd on Monday. Bills quarterback Josh Allen threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns, while also added 74 rushing yards and another score.

Buffalo's defense also stood tall in the victory, despite sustaining a number of injuries to some key contributors. The Bills lost linebackers Terrell Bernard and Baylon Spector, as well as cornerbacks Taron Johnson and Christian Benford in the win, but still contained the Steelers for most of the contest in Orchard Park.

The victory not only extends Buffalo's current winning streak to six games, it punched their ticket to the AFC Divisional Round this coming Sunday when they host the Kansas City Chiefs in the first road playoff game for quarterback Patrick Mahomes of his career.

As for the Chiefs, they won their Wild Card Round game on Saturday night, 26-7, over the Miami Dolphins at a frigid Arrowhead Stadium. Mahomes threw for 262 yards and one of the team's two total touchdowns in the win.

With the playoffs in full swing, Howard Simon is still riding high on the Bills following their sixth win in-a-row.

Howard continues to believe in Buffalo's hot stretch of play, picking the Bills to defeat the Chiefs at home and move on the AFC Championship Game for the first time since 2020.

Then given the results of picks around the NFL by Jeremy White and Joe DiBiase, the Bills would host the Houston Texans in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, Jan. 28 at Highmark Stadium. That was another pick by Howard in favor of the Bills, giving Buffalo its first Super Bowl berth since the 1993 season.

And for the second week in-a-row, Howard picked the Bills to beat the NFC's No. 1 seed, San Francisco 49ers, in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium to give Buffalo its first Super Bowl title in franchise history!

In addition, Howard so boldly picked Allen to win Super Bowl MVP honors!
