McDermott on Josh Allen: 'When he's on his game, look out'

Bills head coach Sean McDermott joined the "Extra Point Show" ahead his team's Thursday night matchup with the Texans in Houston

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Following a thrilling win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past Sunday at Highmark Stadium, the Buffalo Bills are looking to keep the momentum going on a short week when they face the Texans on "Thursday Night Football" at NRG Stadium in Houston.

While it's often nice to get a full week's preparation after a performance like Sunday, Bills head coach Sean McDermott knows a short week means it's right back to work in short order to prepare for the next game.

"We're getting on the road rather quickly, and that's part of the job," said McDermott on Wednesday while appearing on the "Extra Point Show" on WGR. "A lot of volume, in terms of information gathered in a short span of a time, but we try and simplify it for the players so they can go execute."

Bills quarterback Josh Allen put up another historic performance this Sunday against Tampa Bay, where he tallied six total touchdowns - three passing and three rushing touchdowns - earning him AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors. McDermott knows how much a game can change when the reigning NFL MVP is at his best.

"When he's on his game, look out," McDermott said with Sal Capaccio. "He's the best there is in the business. He was on his game last week, that's for sure, and the offense was rolling."

On the injury front, the Bills are set to be without a trio of receiving options for Allen, as McDermott confirmed that tight end Dalton Kincaid, and wide receivers Mecole Hardman and Curtis Samuel will all be out due to injury.

Kickoff on Thursday night at NRG Stadium is slated for 8:15 p.m. on the radio home of the Bills - WGR Sports Radio 550.
