Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Buffalo Bills place kicker Matt Prater, who exited last Sunday's 35-8 win over the New York Jets with a right quad injury, says he feels good, and is confident he can get through the week without any setbacks to be available to play Sunday in the team's AFC Wild Card matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Prater did not participate in Wednesday's walk-through session, but did speak to reporters afterward and was asked not only how he felt, but what happened last Sunday.
“I feel great," Prater said. "I think just as the time went on, warming up before the game with the cold and everything else, it just kind of stiffened up on me."
He added he feels that if he can get quality work in on Thursday and the rest of the week, he will be confident to play Sunday.
The Bills signed kicker Matthew Wright to the practice squad as insurance for Prater, if he can't go this weekend. They will have until 4 p.m. Saturday to elevate Wright to the 53-man active roster, if they feel they need to have him available on Sunday.
Prater was one of six Bills players who did not participate in Wednesday's walk-through.
