Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane has interviewed Pittsburgh Steelers pro scouting coordinator Brandon Hunt for the team's vacant assistant general manager job, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

The position has been vacant since January when then-assistant general manager Joe Schoen was hired to be the general manager of the New York Giants. Schoen was hired by Beane soon after he arrived in Buffalo in 2017, and has been the only assistant general manager under Beane in that time.

Hunt has been the pro scouting coordinator for the Steelers since 2010 when he took over for Doug Whaley, who became the Bills' assistant general manager, at the time.

Hunt is also considered a top internal candidate in Pittsburgh for the Steelers' own general manager job. He has also reportedly interviewed with the Philadelphia Eagles for a front office position, as well as with the Las Vegas Raiders for their general manager's job, which was ultimately filled by Dave Ziegler.
