Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Sabres have re-signed the first of their restricted free agents on Friday, inking forward Brandon Biro to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $762,500.
The 24-year-old has spent the last two seasons with the Sabres organization after completing his four-year collegiate career at Penn State University. In his two seasons with the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League, Biro has produced 14 goals and 32 assists for 46 points in 63 games.
This past season, Biro made his NHL debut with the Sabres on Feb. 23 against the Montreal Canadiens. However, he went pointless in his one NHL game.

It is expected for Biro to continue to provide depth for the Sabres at the AHL level with the Amerks. It's also not out of the question that Biro could continue to make appearances in the NHL when called upon from Rochester.
NHL Free Agency and the official start of the new league year is set for 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
