Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - A couple of key Buffalo Bills offensive players left Saturday's open practice at the new Highmark Stadium early due to injuries.

First, running back Ty Johnson suffered, what appeared to be, an injury to his right leg when he went down in a 1-on-1 passing drill.

Johnson was running a route against linebacker Joe Andreessen when he went down to the grass untouched. He was down for a couple minutes before walking to the locker room very slowly with athletic trainers.

Johnson is considered the Bills' main third-down back, working with Ray Davis as the backup to James Cook. After Davis, Frank Gore, Jr. and Ian Wheeler are the next running backs on the depth chart.

Later, during an 11-on-11 portion of practice, starting center Connor McGovern was chasing down a defender after an interception and suddenly pulled up.

McGovern started limping, took off his helmet, and went down to the ground. Athletic trainers tended to him for a little while before he walked off with them and into the locker room, appearing to favor his right leg.

Sedrick Van Pran-Granger took most of the reps at center in McGovern's absence.

The team also has Lloyd Cushenberry III on the roster, and Alec Anderson, who is battling for the starting left guard spot with Austin Corbett, can also play the pivot, if needed.

After the practice, head coach Joe Brady did not provide an update on either player, saying both will have more tests.
