SCRANTON, PA — The 21st Annual Scranton Jazz Festival kicks off this weekend, transforming downtown Scranton into a vibrant, multi-venue celebration of jazz, blues, swing, and world beat music.
The three-day festival features more than 80 national, regional, and local musicians performing across more than 20 venues throughout the downtown area. Designed to capture the lively spirit of New Orleans, the event brings live music directly into local restaurants, lounges, and outdoor spaces.
A centerpiece of the weekend is the popular free Jazz Walk, allowing music lovers to stroll through the city while enjoying continuous live performances at participating locations.
Organizers expect strong turnouts throughout the weekend as the long-running festival marks more than two decades of bringing world-class live jazz to Lackawanna County.
