BLAKELY, PA – A group of concerned residents is actively working to halt a proposed data center that they say would drastically change their community. Over the weekend, volunteers gathered at the Blakely Recreation Complex to collect signatures for a petition opposing the project.

Organizers report that they have already gathered more than 300 signatures, a number that continues to rise as the community rallies against the development. The petition is a response to plans for a data center that would be built in a residential neighborhood, an idea many residents feel is incompatible with the area's character.

The volunteers plan to present the signed petition to the Blakely Borough Council at their meeting next Monday, September 15th, urging them to block the proposal.
